Judging: We came third, which is quite an achievement for a team that didn't actually meet once over the whole week. I am actually amazed at how well we did, and also would like to say congrats to the team that won (the guys team), so yeah, this blog appears to be now obsolete...let it now be confined to history.
Until next year!

Update #1 - Sunday - Rosetta Stone
Have finished nearly all of item 54, just need to write on the clay, and then I'm done. Judging is in less than 4 hours, so I really hope that we're ready! I finished the stone painting a little while ago, and then found that you can get the excess enamel paint of your hands with nail polish remover.
Random fact: You can fit 11 jellybeans into a paint tin.

Update #3 - Saturday - My Haul
This is my haul from Amy's place, even though I thought she wouldn't be able to do anything, due to the fact that she has been literally drowning in homework since the start of the holidays, but she astounds me yet again!!

Also, sadly, the Wikipedia article has been taken down, after surviving for a total of 269 minutes. Thankfully, I took a screenshot of it, proving that once, there actually was a Wikipedia article that conclusively stated the difference between cupcakes and muffins.
Tomorrow is Judging! I really hope that we get everything done in time...*fingers crossed*
UPDATE: Now I know that I'm really tired, because I wrote this post on Saturday Night, and called the post "Friday - My Haul". My bad.

Update #2 - Saturday - Plans, Flags, and other things...
We bought more flags today, as well as the makings for giant muffin/cupcake.
And...we have finished the wikipedia article!! I was very happy to finish that, and it's still up, which is even better. If it stays up until Monday, I will be very happy! =]

Update #1 - Saturday - Keine Foto
Yeah, it's just occurred to me that our team has literally, no photographs for any of the sections.
I really need to get onto that.
Just as soon as I make a muffin. (Yup, just one.) I'm gonna go and buy stuff for it today.
Something that I thought of for the 'I can Haz Cheezeburger?' however, because it's not a photo I took, I probably can't use it. Thanks to ICHC for the picture.

Update #3 - Friday - Matchsticks and Chopsticks & Toothpicks, Oh My! (Or: Why Calligraphy & Blogging SHOULD NOT mix)
Yeah, I'm talking about the joys of working with a calligraphy set.
My enthusiasm is overwhelming.
I jumped into it, thinking "It's only about 400 words to write, it's not that difficult." Sadly, I was mistaken.
Firstly, it is nearly impossible to write decently with one of those pens, for more reasons than one, firstly because the reservoir was being dopey; for the first few words, it would give out great globs of ink, before the ink would mysteriously drain out; leaving me wondering if there was any better way of doing this. Also, the nib had a tendency to slide back into the pen/holder.
So I thought, what about a toothpick? That would write a lot smaller, but unfortunately the toothpick had a point that kept scratching the paper, and the ink went weird...
SO, I then thought, a matchstick has a small enough bit to write on, and the ned isn't pointy, but that turned out to be too short to write properly....
SO...I was kind of sick of this comedy of errors, so eventually I found that a wooden chopstick that we had lying around made the perfect writing implement. Well, as perfect as a a wooden that is being used to write a blog that really should be on the net, WHERE IT BELONGS!
I ended up with ink all over my hands, but it was worth it!
I'm a piece of artwork! . . .
I have modelling clay as well, so will write that tomorrow, but still need to find a big enough piece of wood.

Update #2 - Friday - Fish & Ships v2.0
Update #1 - Friday - Hypothetical, Multidimentional Giant Muffins + Fish & Ships
Hopefully, the planning for the giant muffin will go ok today, I'm planning to buy everything tonight, and assemble the giant muffin (or cupcake, I haven't worked out which). And i should see if I can bend wikipedia to my will again.
Plans for an interesting day, I think.
But... We have a bottle in a ship! To be more precise, we have a fish in a bottle in a ship...I'll post photos as soon as I've worked out where I've gone and parked the ship...

Update #3 - Thursday - Dysfunctional, maybe not so much...but is it too much to hope for?
We might not actually be as dysfunctional as previously thought, because at the moment we appear to be winning the facebook fanpage, which is cool, with about 38 members! =] Very happy about that.
You'll <3 Coles: I highly doubt it.
Plans for tomorrow: They include hypothetical, multidimensional giant muffins (or cupcakes...I don't know which), and badly written HTML. Any guesses as to what it might be? =P

Update #2 - Thursday - Team Dysfunctionality, How I Loathe Thee . . .
But at least I have talked to everyone in the team at least once this week. I think, if they give a prize out for the most dysfunctional team, we would win it hands down.
A random question: How many teams are doing a blog for ScavHunt? I've counted two teams (including us), but is there any more? I guess there won't be an answer until Judging, but I hope there will be more teams enter a blog this year. And if any of those do the blog in paper and ink, and wood carving, and in clay, and on a rock...would be amusing to see...

Update #1 - Thursday - Way Too Early + Half Way Already?!
Yeah, sometimes I wonder why I do this: Because here I am, using a laptop that shrunk in the wash (It's my lil bro's UMPC), that I can barely type on, there's no lights on in the house except for the screen and a candle.
I'm hungry, and I've just realized that we are half way through the ScavHunt already.
Woah.
I think that, even though our team is possibly the most dysfunctional, I've had a lot of fun while I've done this. When this is over, I will miss it heaps.
But there's always next year.

Update #3.5 - Wednesday - After the Worship Night (AKA I didn't hear about any special clues...)
Wow, today was a long day! But, I believe this was one of the more productive days that we have had, even if we did have some mishaps.
Good Stuff: I finished a few more items (Biblical Defenestration +Poop Deck, Gangplank & possibly the bottle in a ship as well). The worship night (which the judges said would count as bonus points if you attended) was still pretty awesome (in my humble opinion).
Bad Stuff: The ScavHuntHelpLine called during the one half-hour that our team member couldn't answer the phone (good job getting your learner's permit Mat! =] ) and so that was a disaster, but there might still be hope for us.
Yeah, I guess I will leave tonight with a Tama Update (this might actually become a regular feature =P ) : When I left for the worship night, I completely forgot about it...so I asked Mum to pause it...and she forgets as well...come home afterward to find the thing asleep with only 1 heart of happiness and 2 for hunger. Uh oh...but I learned why I didn't survive with one in the first place.

Jezebel's Defenestration - Picture Story

Jehu looked up at the window and called out, "Who is on my side? Who?" Two or three eunuchs looked down at him. "Throw her down!" he said. So they threw her down,

And some of her blood splattered the wall and the horses as they trampled her underfoot.

Jehu went in and ate and drank. "Take care of that cursed woman," he said, "and bury her, for she was a king's daughter".

But when they went out to bury her, they found nothing but her skull, hands & feet.
Update #2 - Wednesday - Gotta Love Defenestration...
'Sup all!
I just spent maybe a couple hours making a scale replica of biblical defenestration. (For those who are already confused, the act of defenestration is to push someone out the window.)
Ultimately, I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out; I had a lot of fun with it.
See the story here: Jezebel's Defenstration
The next couple of posts will be the picture story of this.

Update #1 - Wednesday - Lego, Ships & Bottles
Sadly, we do not have a team rep at the Amazing Race today. Hopefully those who went had a good time.
Here's a puzzle for you: What does Lego have to do with items #48, #62, #63 and #97?
Watch this space for the answer!!
